A review of The Yews by Anonymous wigston written on Thursday 3rd of December 2009
Visited with friends on tue. dec 1st. not particularly busy. two friends had the fish and chips, myself and husband chicago chicken. my chicken in particular was competely dried up and the proscuittio ham shrivelled to a crisp! eventually, could"nt swallow anymore and managed to get waitresses attention. she offered me a stilton sauce, which i had to wait ages for. my friend asked me if i wanted the meal microwaved to heat it(it was now cold) but no way would that chicken have taken that. when we got the bill, we were charged for three coffees, which we had"nt been offered or indeed ordered!, when my husband pointed out all the above to the bar manager, he just laughed, blamed staff and sdaid ,well you ate the food. if we had been on our own, we would have just walk ed out when the food was served. if you want a good night out, go somewhere else! dk.
