"Ashby girl wins Player of the Tournament in Australia"

Ashby girl Emily Marriott received a gold medal and was voted by players,officials and the other teams as Player of the Tournament at the womens under 19 Indoor Cricket World Cup in Brisbane Australia.

They beat South Africa and Australia in the league tables,but were beaten in the semi-final by New Zealand.

On a points average New Zealand went on to play Australia in the final with Australia going on to win the Womens under 19 indoor cricket World Cup Final..
