A review of R & S Motorcycle Tyres by Dave Harriman written on Saturday 2nd of September 2017
It is with reluctance that I have to give a bad review for this business,
I have using this service for years, Rob has always been friendly and skill full and above all careful with all the wheels I have taken to him. However this time, he was in a foul and aggressive mood.
The job was a simple tyre change on my brand new T120. halfway through the job I heard him cursing and swearing, what's up, I said, he said someone has used tyre weld (slime) on this, as he couldn't get the valve insert in the valve. I said it was a brand new wheel, I've only done 1300 mile from new. "Well somethings wrong with it"
I went over and the valve stem had been bent at about 45 degrees, It was straight when I came in here I said, well I haven't bent it! I was stuck, so I paid for a new tube (£12) just to get my wheel done.
he had conveniently forgot that he had just 5 minutes earlier removed the same valve insert so if he couldn't get it in, how come it was in in the first place, and removed easily? I went home a bit miffed, and found a picture I had taken a month ago showing my new luggage on the bike, and luckily enough, when I blew the picture up, it showed a perfectly straight valve! and as I regularly polish the whole bike I would have noticed this . So I had booked my other wheel in, but I found somewhere else, and will not return, It's a shame really, we all make mistakes, but at least be a man and own up .
