"Refused a child a blood test"

Recently my Dr requested a blood test for my ill child. I got the number and booked the appointment as asked. When we arrived at the centre staff refused to give our child the blood test on the grounds that she had a temperature and had been sick in the early hrs.

So we leave and phone our Dr to explain and he still said he wanted the test. Our surgery phoned the centre and they still refused to do the test this time on the grounds of time. Our Dr tells us to go to lie for test.

We get to lie to be told they can't take blood from children so we were then directed to a ward. Some hrs later thanks to the wonderful staff on hospital ward my daughter's blood test was done.

I will be writing to the westcotts centre manager to complain and ask when did a women who is only qualified to take blood know better than a fully qualified Dr.

My daughter who was already ill was distressed all day because of the staff at this centre.

I may even report them to the health authority for the distress they caused my daughter and having to take up ward drs time..
