A review of The Gas Superstore by Janis written on Tuesday 15th of September 2015
Ordered Flavel Renaissance gas fire from The Gas Superstore. Was told delivery was to be on Friday 11th September. Message left on answering machine on Thursday to say they wouldn't have stock of this fire until Friday 11th. Called and rescheduled delivery for Monday 14th. Began awaiting delivery at 7am. Called to reconfirm delivery and told it now wouldn't be delivered until Tuesday 15th today. Organised gasfitter to disconnect existing fire and fit new one for tomorrow 16th. Fire duly arrived via DPD at 2pm. Box badly damaged. Delivery man noted this. On opening box teh readiants were in pieces and the end panel was separated from the main body of the fire. Contacted The Gas Superstore who asked for photographic evidence of damage. Sent six photos and called about what action was to be taken. Was told courier will collect damaged fire tomorrow and only when they receive it back at their warehouse will our refund be processed. Staff were amenable and apologetic but did not offer any goodwill gesture or offer to send us another fire. Wasted a whole week of our time on this fiasco. Will not be doing business with this company again and would not recommend them to friends or family. Have ordered the same make and model from another company and hopefully this will prove a better experience..
