A review of Quorn Fish & Chips by THE HUNGRY LADY written on Monday 24th of August 2015
TONIGHT I DIDN'T FEEL LIKE COOKING AND ALTHOUGH I VERY RARELY HAVE FISH AND CHIPS I WENT TO QUORN CHIP SHOP FOR MY MEAL. I HAD A SMALL HADDOCK AT £3.20. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. THE COLOUR OF THE FISH WAS GRIM, IT WAS TASTELESS AND JUST A BITTY MESS UNDER A THIN SOGGY BATTER.
THE CHIPS WERE MOSTLY LITTLE HARD CHEWY BITS ALTHOUGH THERE WAS ABOUT 4 DECENT ONES.
THE PEAS WERE THE ONLY EDIBLE PART OF THE MEAL SO AT £5.30 FOR A SMALL CARTON OF PEAS IT BECAME A VERY EXPENSIVE MEAL. I ATE WHAT BITS I COULD AS I WAS VERY HUNGRY.
WHEN I RANG TO TELL THEM HE SAID I SHOULD HAVE BROUGHT IT STRAIGHT BACK. HAD THE SHOP BEEN A BIT NEARER I WOULD HAVE DONE. I THOUGHT THESE PLACES WERE THERE TO GET A MEAL WHEN YOU ARE HUNGRY AND DON'T FEEL LIKE COOKING - NOT SOMEWHERE WHERE YOU HAVE TO GO TO TAKE IT BACK. THAT IS ME FINISHED WITH THE CHIP SHOP!.
