A review of NHS Dental Access Centre by Sandra Morris written on Tuesday 7th of April 2015

Having been to the On Call Centre in Oadby we were told that we needed to rin the DAC on Nelson Street but after trying to get through for over an hour we decided to go to the DAC in person as my husband wasn't at all well I went in to the DAC and was told by a very uniterested receptionist(more interested in peeling her orange to be honest)to be told that there was NO appointments at all and to ring 111 after 1pm when I pointed out that my husbands eye was nearly closed she told me to take him to A&E @ the LRI when we got there we were told that they did not deal with anything dental and to go back to DAc which we did to be told very abruptly they they could not do anything not even a prescription for Antibiotics.
The attitude of the receptionist (with short dark hair) when you are feeling very down and in a lot of pain was not very reassuring to be honest.
I am absolutely disgusted with how we were treated and would like someone to contact me ASAP please, if this does not happen then I will escalate higher.
Regards,
Sandra Morris
