"Leicester doesn't want visitors apparently"

I decided to spend my day off with a shopping trip to Leicester, was looking forward to seeing the Highcross Centre and getting Xmas ideas. I park in the Rutland Centre and, as I walk out of the car park take a cursory glance at the charges, £6.50 for two hours!!?? Needless to say I went back to my car and departed for Nottingham straightaway. £3.50 for two hours at the Broadmarsh is far more palatable. Don't know if NCP or LCC is responsible but charges like that are a huge turn-off for out of town visitors.
