Both my parents were from Leicester and it was a real treat at Christmas to go and fetch the Walker's pork pie from the shop in Leicester in time for Christmas where it took pride of place on the Boxing Day table along with their delicious haslet. The secret is in the pie crust and a special blend of spices that are used to make the pork filling so unique. Occasionally they're available in Waitrose but always sell out quickly

I was sad to say that the shop in Oadby Street was no longer open when I went there on 29th May 2012 to buy one of their delicious pies. What has happened to them?.
