A review of The River Cruise Line by Tim Davies written on Wednesday 28th of July 2010
I've just returned from a fantastic River Cruise on the MPS Lady Anne. Rhine to Switzerland. There was nothing to find fault with on the ship. The Captain and crew were helpful, polite and considerate and the cruise is tailored to the more mature persons. This realy is a friendly, happy ship and despite its 107 years of age it is maintanted in ammaculate condition.
This was our first river cruise and we have booked now for another one in 2011.
On the downside, I think the travel arrangements to and from the ship need to be re examined and although there is no mention of it in the 2011 brochure, there is a charge of £10 per seat for pre- booking the front 12 seats. Such charges didn't do the low cost airlines reputation any good and I don't think is is becoming of River Cruise Line to copy them under the guise of "popular demand". There will always be popular demand for certain seats, that's why customers book early. Come on RCL, don't jump on the band wagon. .
