"Gone downhill"

We used to go to the Yews every Sunday and occasionally during the week. The food and service were excellent and the place was comfortable and relaxing. Over the last few years it has gone downhill very badly, the food is often inedible, the service is slow and sloppy, and the waiting times are long even when the place is nearly empty. We kept on going thinking that things would pick up, but after yet another awful meal we have now given up for good, will not be going back, and are looking for another ppace to eat Sunday lunch..
